Our Story
For years I never wore rings because no matter what rings I'd put on they would never shine as sparkly as my 2 carat diamond engagement ring. All I wanted was another ring that wouldn't overtake the showstopper I had on my ring finger, but that would also be sparkly and make a statement. Thats when I discovered Moissanite.
Moissanite is a diamond simulant made of silicon carbide. A diamond simulant is a stone that has a similar appearance to a diamond, but is not a real diamond. ... Moissanite was originally discovered in a meteor crater in 1893 by scientist Henri Moissan. He mistakenly believed the crystals he found were diamonds.
Moissanites have an extremely hard surface with outstanding reflective properties, making them able to withstand heavy wear without losing their luster, unlike less attractive simulants like cubic zirconia (CZ). This makes Moissanite a great cheaper alternative.
After discovering
Moissanite, my mission became to enable every woman to have an amazing ring. We should able be able to have all the fire without the price tag and that is how Elixir Stones was born.
